We don't know yet?!?!! Keep reading, I'll explain.
Today was our 20 week appointment and it was AMAZING! I was looking forward to it for weeks because my belly has popped and Baby D is a maniac in there. I needed to see what he/she is up to!
The technician agreed about Baby D's craziness! It did not stop moving for the entire hour and a half scan (it was so long BECAUSE...baby D wouldn't STOP moving!) The tech said because of the placement of my placenta, I can feel the baby more than other woman may, that is why it feels so crazy sometimes. It's pretty awesome though.
...And it was amazing to watch it stretch, wave its hands, open its mouth and wiggle around.
Baby D is measuring right where it should. The heart rate is a perfect 164 and it has all its parts that are working together wonderfully! God is so awesome! Here are some of the pictures we got today.
So during the scan we did find out the sex of the baby, but we didn't look! This is our plan. We had the tech place a photo of baby with "It's a boy or It's a girl" typed on it and seal it in an envelope heading to my sister Melissa in Jersey. She will get the letter and hopefully not spill the beans until April 6th. She will be the only one to know for a full month...I have faith in her secret keeping abilities...I hope..
So we locked down a photographer for April 6th. We will first do a maternity shoot and then after that we will have immediate family and a few of my girls come over to do a gender reveal. We are planning to do one like this...
Melissa will decorate the box and place pink or blue balloons in it...then we will have our little bash and open it up with a photog on hand! I can't wait to see Josh's reaction!!
I hate like heck to wait but this dang snow won't melt and I want to do it outside...so hopefully in a month we will be out of the polar vortex and into some spring weather. So for now...Baby D's sex will remain a secret...well not to Melissa!!
Today was a good day though and we are so grateful to God for all he has done!
