Aside from decorating the walls, Baby Girl's room is pretty much done! Wahoo! So I showed some of our projects that we did... (headboard, rocker, changing table)...our last large task was finding a solution for clothing and storage for the room.
Since we did not find a home to buy in time, and honestly we are second thinking buying a home here at all (that's another story)...we had to work with what we have. The room for her nursery was an office and did not have a closet, so we had to come up with a solution. After searching around I found this picture.
I am not really big on having clothes exposed, but Baby Girl's are SO STINKING cute I thought what the heck! So we started with buying pieces of wood at home depot. Josh cut them to size (that was a scary experience) and we primed and painted them white.
We ordered some brackets on Ebay that were perfect to hold the bar for the tiny little clothes! They cost $9 bucks total. The bar was from home depot and around $15.
Josh is really good about measuring and making things extremely even...I just usually eye ball it and it is always crooked...so he did the next part as well. We screwed in the brackets and the holders for the shelves. We were originally going to do three shelves but when we started hanging them I changed my mind and we just did two. So here is what is looks like so far! We still have to hang up more clothes (we have TONS already) and organize the things on top, but I think it came out great!
