Josh and I have been working like mad to get everything perfect for sweet baby D! I want to finish up the changes we need to make to our place because the last month of my pregnancy, when it will be hot and nasty. That last month I want to be able to not be working like a crazy person to finish everything and have the chance to relax with the husband before life gets wild.
Since our house hunt has left us no where...you can read about it here...we have to work with what we got until we find a bigger place. We have made some good progress though! I showed you our changing table makeover here and since then we have mastered two other projects.
We wanted to leave a bed in the baby's room for a few reasons. One, for guests and two for me in the night when I don't want to wake Josh up or vise versa. We already had a bed in the room but no headboard on it. So I got on Craigslist and started hunting! I found a twin headboard for $5 and I scooped it up quick! Below is what it looked like when I got it. I loved the style, it's very little girlish, but the wood color and design had to go!
So we sanded just a tiny bit, primed this up and painted it a light pink. I was originally going to make the room white and coral. However, I found an awesome wall decal that had pinks, turquoise, and light purples...that I just loved! So I changed my mind. Now I will be going with pale pinks and turquoise colors for the nursery. So here is the finished product! I think it looks super girly and super cute!
