With just 4 weeks till my due date we are finally done with baby girl's nursery! It was so much fun doing crafts and putting this all together with Josh. He was such a good helper through the entire thing and never complained about all the work I made him do. =)
Now once baby comes...I will add some pictures of her and us to the empty spots on the walls but for now this is what we came up with....
We went with a white, teal and pink theme. The bed-frame we scored on Craigslist for $5 and redid..you could see that here. We wanted to keep a bed in there for several reasons...the biggest being...I will probably end up sleeping in there for the first few weeks to avoid waking Josh up all hours of the night when he has to work.
The pillows I made and the super cute wall decals I bought from Etsy here. I am no professional photographer so here is a better up close look at them...I love them!
The lamp on the ceiling we scored from Ikea for about $25 bucks. I added some little crystal-like things to make it more girly.
The room is small...and with the bed we really didn't have much space to work with...but we managed to fit in our wonderful rocker, made-over changing table, diaper genie and a little night stand against this wall.
Then we have the wall with our closet for baby girl...Now filled with super cute clothes and toys!! I love the exposed look of the closet. Josh built this too!! You can see how we made it here. Also our mini toy box we made out of a plain wooden crate is against this wall for now.
Our last project...which hangs on the wall by the bed, was this canvas. Josh and I made it with some cut out letters that we painted white and greyish, glue, stencils and pink paint...This is a verse, Proverbs 31:25 I plan on speaking over baby girls life daily!!
For what we had to work with I think it came out cute! Total cost...not included all of the generous gifts, was probably under $175 bucks! That included paint, decals, the changing table, bed frame, toy box and all the supplies for the closet.
Of course if we didn't have the bed it would be a bit more spacious...but regardless it is calming and soothing and I can't wait for baby girl to be in it!!
