We decided to keep the one Jess gave us at my parents house, because we are there so often. So that was helpful.
The Craigslist chair we got...was a flop. It had a loud noise when you rocked. We couldn't get rid of it and it was driving me crazy. There are just some things that you can't buy used. I found out a rocker is one of them. I didn't want to risk buying another one and it having an issue, so I started searching for a white rocker. The gliders online were price tagged at $199 and above for a decent one and the fabric on the cushions was not my style. It was blah or plain and I didn't want to buy a brand new one and then have to re-upholster it. So I stepped away from a glider are started looking for a good ol' rocker!
He swore that they had tons of gifts there and some furniture, including rockers. So we went. I fell in love when we saw the line of white rockers outside the store. I had never noticed them before...probably because I had never been there, the place seems a bit country to me and country food is not my fave.
Once I sat in one I was sold. It cost $150, not too bad and they are all hand made. Folks I talked to about them said they have had theirs for over 20 years!
I LOVE it! It goes so well with the room and it rocks so nice and QUIET! Who would have thought you could get a great piece of furniture at a restaurant!
